Important Information and Forms
Proof of Residency
Attendance at Hunterdon Central is approved for all students who are living in Delaware Township, East Amwell Township, Flemington Borough, Raritan Township, and Readington Township, or for students who have been accepted as Interdistrict School Choice students.
In order to ensure compliance with local residency regulations, parents/guardians of all students in the Class of 2030 are required to present proof of residency documentation on behalf of their freshman to the Freshman House Office as you are new to our regional high school district.
To establish Proof of Residency, please fill out the Proof of Residency Form (linked in English and Spanish) and submit it to the Freshman House Office with a copy of two items from the required documentation list. The form and documents may be scanned and emailed to Helena Taborda at helena.taborda@hcrhs.org or mailed to:
HCRHS Freshman House Office
84 Route 31
Flemington, NJ, 08822
Copies of Proof of Residency documents may also be dropped off in the red mailbox in the vestibule of the 9/10 Building (Fountain Entrance, off of Route 31.)
The Proof of Residency form and accompanying documentation are due to the Freshman House Office by Friday, September 25, 2026. Any student who has not submitted this required form by October 2 may not be allowed to attend school until the form is submitted.
If you have any questions about this requirement, please contact Scot Ebner, Vice Principal for the Class of 2030, at scot.ebner@hcrhs.org.
Freshman Physicals
New Jersey State law requires that each student must be examined by their family doctor upon entry into a school district. Therefore, Hunterdon Central requires a physical examination for all Grade 9 students.
Physical forms may be downloaded and printed from our website here: Health Forms. The Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form must be used for all freshman physicals. You can email the form to the Freshman Health Office secretary Antoinette Riordan at antoinette.riordan@hcrhs.org or you can mail forms (Attn: Freshman Health Office).
If your child’s previous physical exam form is dated after September 2, 2025, it is still valid so you do not need a new one; you can email the previous physical exam form to Ms. Riordan.
Physical Forms must be submitted to the Freshman Health Office by Friday, September 25, 2026. If you have any questions about Freshman Physicals, please call the 9/10 Health Office at 908-284-7223. Failure to comply will delay your child's participation in sports, field trips, and appropriate nursing care. Please note that physician orders for medication must be renewed for each new school year.
Other Health Forms:
All students who require medication during the school day, either prescription or non-prescription, must complete the Medication Administration at School Form. Also, if your child has asthma, diabetes or severe allergy that may require an epi-pen, there are forms that must be completed. All of these forms are available on the Health Services website. Please return completed forms to Freshman Health Office prior to school opening. Thank you for your cooperation!
Orientation Program
Orientation for Hunterdon Central's Class of 2030 will take place on August 25 and August 26, 2026. See schedule below for student and parent orientations:
Incoming 9th Grade Student Orientation:
Incoming 9th graders should report to Hunterdon Central by 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Students can be dropped off in two locations, at the 9/10 building main entrance (use route 31 entrance) or at the IMC entrance on Junction Road near the tennis courts/IMC. Staff will be present to help direct students to drop off locations. Only students need to exit vehicles and then they will be directed to their alpha homeroom.
While in their alpha homeroom, students will receive their schedules and go over basic homeroom procedures. Then from 8:55 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., students will rotate in groups to receive their district-provided Chromebook, meet their Freshman House Team, take a photo for their student ID card, learn about athletic and activity offerings, and meet our School Resource Officer who will review important information about harassment, intimidation and bullying.
Students are dismissed at 12:15 p.m., however students have the option to walk the building to find their classrooms for a half hour. Then from 12:45-1:45 p.m., we will hold a Student Social event. This is a great opportunity for students to mingle and meet their new classmates while enjoying snacks and refreshments. Parents/guardians can pick up their students at either 12:15 p.m. or 1:45 p.m. following their self-tour and Student Social. Please plan ahead with your student to coordinate a pick-up time and pick-up location before orientation day.
Grades 10-12 New Students (transferring into HCRHS) Orientation:
Newly registered students in grades 10-12 who will be attending Hunterdon Central for the first time may be dropped off by 11:30 a.m. on August 26th. Students should be dropped off at the IMC (Library) using the IMC entrance off Junction Road. Orientation for transfer students will conclude around 1:00 p.m. Please plan ahead with your student to coordinate a pick-up time and pick-up location before orientation day.
Evening Parent Orientation:
Orientation program for parents/guardians will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in the auditorium. Please enter the 9/10 building at the fountain entrance (use Route 31 entrance). Parent orientation will last about 1.5 hours and the evening will conclude by 8:00 pm.
If freshmen or new students are unable to attend orientation on August 26th, students can visit Central’s IMC building on either August 27 or August 28 between 12:00-3:00 p.m. or August 29 between 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to receive their schedule, Chromebook, and take photo for student ID.
We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2030!
