During the week of November 15, Counseling Services is offering senior students a series of programs that explore post-high school options like community college, trade and technical programs, military service, etc. Please continue reading for more information.
The information was shared with senior students today in their Naviance accounts and includes program times, locations, sign-up deadlines, and registration links.
Programs available to senior students next week include:
Monday, November 15 at 8:45 AM - Raritan Valley Community College: Representatives will give a general overview presentation of RVCC admissions.
Monday, November 15 at 9:30 AM - RVCC Honors College: Representatives will give a presentation overview (Honors College eligibility: students must have a 3.5 GPA)
Tuesday, November 16 at 8:15 AM - Polytech Adult Education Presentation: Representatives will discuss programs like Automotive, Electrical, Plumbing, and Welding trades and services in Healthcare, Animal Care, and Cosmetology. There are over 60 courses available.
Wednesday, November 17 during lunches - Military Day: Representatives from various branches of the Military will be in the Commons during lunches. Students are welcome to walk up and talk with them or may request a pass during block 3 non-lunch time to speak individually with a recruiter.
Thursday, November 18 at 9:45 AM & 1:15 PM: Group sessions for Q&A, an overview of career exploration, resume writing, Gap Year programs, and more.
We hope you'll speak with your senior students and encourage them to sign up for any program that interests them. Remind them to check for registration deadlines and links in Naviance. Our Counseling Services Team is eager to help students explore life after high school.
