Webinar 1: Hot Topics - Changes to Standardized Testing & Virtual College Engagement:

Our first webinar will discuss the changes to standardized testing through 2020. We will discuss test-optional policies and provide a better understanding of test-optional applicant review. We will also highlight ways to stay engaged with colleges through virtual programs, social media, and admission counselor communication.

Webinar 2: What Can I Do Now? Plan, Prepare, Connect.

While you are at home ,you can continue making the most of your college and career plans. We will review a timeline for college and career planning, explain preparations you can make with applications and essays, and review ways to stay connected with the college planning news. We will also take an early look at the financial aid process, FAFSA, and scholarship search engines.

Webinar #3: My Activities: Staying Engaged & Enriching Your Mind

Chances are some of your activities, sports, clubs, and jobs have been interrupted. We will review how to stay engaged with those activities and how to demonstrate this involvement to colleges. We will also discuss new, fun activities to keep your brain fueled with knowledge during this time!

Webinar#4: Applications & List

We encourage you to get started on your college applications in the summer before senior year, so this webinar will review everything you need to know about preparing to apply through the Common App (CA) and Coalition App (CO), with a gentle reminder to ask for those letters of recommendation (LORs) before the school year ends! We also have some helpful information about building a healthy college list.

Webinar #5: Reflecting Through Words: Drafting Your College Essay

One of the most important parts of your application - and with even more importance in 2020-2021 - is the college essay. The writing part of college applications takes time, dedication, and organization. We will review ways to get started on this process, essay topics, and college-specific supplements.
