The FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  is a form that must be filled out in order to determine eligibility for federal student aid. In addition, most states and colleges use information from the FAFSA to award non-federal aid.

Click here for the official FAFSA website:
FAFSA

Beginning with the Class of 2025, parents/guardians must complete a form in Genesis indicating if they will be filling out the FAFSA or completing a waiver (waiver is also available in Genesis) - this is a graduation requirement per the state.

If you need additional assistance with filling out the FAFSA, or require technical help, please call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).

HESAA

For many years, the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) has prepared a Student Loan Guide to be distributed to New Jersey high school students.

You can access the Student Loan Guide here:

HESAA is the only state authority with the sole mission of providing students and families with the information and resources necessary to attain an education beyond high school.
