Hunterdon Central is a 9th-12th grade regional district located in Flemington, NJ educating over 2,200 students from five different municipalities. We have been named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education, received an AP School Honor Roll Silver Distinction in 2024 from The College Board, received recognition as a World Languages Model Program, and currently rank among the top high schools in New Jersey and in the country. At Hunterdon Central, we pride ourselves on creating student-centered and forward-thinking academic experiences for students. We offer a diverse and rigorous Program of Studies that includes: over 20 Advanced Placement courses; four Magnet programs to be expanded soon; over 40 courses in fine and visual arts and music; courses in robotics, engineering and design; TV and radio courses in our Communications building; and multiple special education programs. We following a block schedule that includes 80 minute periods. After the school day has ended, students can choose from over 100 clubs and activities and 18 different types of sports in our highly successful athletics program.

Benefits of Working at Central
- Strong Professional Development Program - the district encourages staff to be lifelong learners. The school calendar includes five full days for professional development, along with additional PD opportunities scheduled after school and online. Tuition reimbursement is available for graduate courses. We provide mentors for all new teachers and administrators, and offer multiple teacher leadership opportunities from curricular work to committee projects.
- Cutting Edge Technology - The district is a 1:1 mobile computing device environment and a Google for Education district. Every student is provided a Chromebook, district email address and Google account, and all faculty and staff are provided with laptops and classrooms have the latest multimedia. Faculty at Hunterdon Central use technology as a powerful transformative tool; curriculum and instruction feature wireless connectivity, digital multimedia devices, web publishing tools, and a wide array of subject-specific software to enhance students' comprehension and skills. We also have a focus group established for artificial intelligence researching best practices on how to incorporate AI effectively and responsibly into the classroom.

Hunterdon Central's campus is one of the largest campus-style high school districts in N.J. encompassing 72 acres, with two large classroom buildings, a music and communications building, instructional media center, and a 2,000 seat fieldhouse.
