Hunterdon Central is committed to offering a full day of in-person school every day, for all students. The first day for students is September 2, 2021.

Alpha Homerooms

On the first day of school, students should report to their assigned Alpha Homerooms. Click on the link to locate the correct Alpha Homeroom for each student: 2021-2022 Alpha Homeroom Assignments After the first day, students report to their Block 1 classes at the strt of the school day.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS:

Hunterdon Central has scheduled Back to School Nights on September 23 and September 30. Detailed information will be sent out closer to those dates.

Bell Schedule

As the school year begins, we anticipate having two lunch periods each day, following this bell schedule. Students' schedules (in Aspen) will include information on their assigned lunch period.

COMPUTER PROGRAM:

Hunterdon Central offers students the option to use a school-provided Chromebook or a personally-owned device.

DRESS CODE:

Hunterdon Central's dress code contains regulations on how students should dress for school. Students who are dressed inappropriately will receive one warning. Subsequent violations will result in disciplinary consequences for students; parents will be called to pick up the student from school or bring a change of clothes.

FERPA Information

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy act (FERPA) requires that Hunterdon Central, with certain exceptions, obtain your written consent prior to disclosing personally identifiable information from your child's educational records. However, the District is allowed to disclose appropriately designated "directory information" without written consent, unless you have advised us to the contrary. FREE & REDUCED LUNCH:

As we begin the 2021-2022 School year, the basic "full lunch” is free to all students. Ala carte items are available for purchase.

HEALTH EMERGENCY CARDS:

It is essential that information on Student Health Emergency Cards be submitted to Hunterdon Central by September 1, 2021. This year, information must be updated/submitted electronically. For complete details, please go to:

If changes to the information need to be made during the school year, please notify Grade Level Health Offices, in writing.

PAY TO PARTICIPATE:

On Monday, July 19, 2021, the Board approved the Superintendent's recommendation of no extracurricular activity participation fee for the 2021-2022 school year.

SMOKE AND VAPE FREE CAMPUS:

Hunterdon Central Regional High School is a totally smoke and vape-free environment. No smoking or vaping will be permitted on campus at any time, anywhere, at any event.

STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE:

The Board of Education provides a secondary student accident insurance policy for all students. The agent is Bob McCloskey Insurance. Your family health policy provides primary coverage, and all claims must be submitted to that company first.

STUDENT HANDBOOK:

During the first week of school, students will be shown how to access the Student Handbook and will be required to sign a form indicating that they have been shown how to access the Handbook online and are responsible for its contents.

Parents/Guardians will have access to the Student Handbook on this website and through their Aspen parent login, and will be directed to indicate their awareness of the handbook via the Aspen parent login.

STUDENT SCHEDULES:

Student schedules for the 2021-2022 School Year are now available in Aspen.

Students are expected to attend their classes as scheduled. Once school is back in session, students can email their assigned grade level counselor if a schedule requires adjustment. Schedule adjustments include unscheduled blocks, prerequisite sequencing errors, or incorrect level placement.

Some administrative changes continue to be made. Because of this, students should follow the schedule that is noted in Aspen on the first day of school. Class attendance will be taken based on this schedule.

Information about tutorials and activity/late buses for the 2020-2021 school year will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
