The Family & Consumer Science Department at Hunterdon Central offers engaging, hands-on courses that bring these skills to life, from child development to culinary arts to budgeting and nutrition. Our curriculum is designed to be relevant to every student, providing practical experience and education across a wide range of life skills that prepare students to thrive at home, in their careers, and in their communities. Graduation Requirement

Courses in the Family & Consumer Sciences department can be taken to satisfy the graduation requirements of at least 12.5 credits of Electives, or at least 5 credits for 21st Century Life and Careers or Career Technical Education (#600, #800 and #900 courses).
